"I was struck by the Koolkut's accuracy," he commented. "These saws are very solidly built, and designed and constructed to high standards of quality. That's been born out by the machine's reliability in service - we've had it for two years now and it hasn't missed a beat. I was most impressed with the price, too."

XLB Signs' Koolkut KK21S has become a key part of the company's manufacturing process, cutting sheets of acrylic, composite, perspex and foamex to size and trimming down finished signs. The machine caters for sheets of up to 3100mm x 2100mm, yet with the moving column dispensing with the need to feed sheets through, it requires well under 4m of wall space in total.

"The compact dimensions are great," noted John. "As well as taking up much less wall space in operation, the Koolkut also projects a much smaller distance into the workshop than our old saw. That means we can park the van inside the secured workshop overnight. That wouldn't have been possible with, I think, any other comparable machine."
