In 2004, W Young Builders' Merchants in Purley replaced their ageing table saw with a KoolKut KK12 space-saving vertical panel saw from Sagetech.

"We had actually been without a saw for about two years," said Vince Roberts, Director at Young's. "About three years ago we had to get rid of our old table saw as health and safety regulations were tightened up. And for a year or so after that we didn't offer a cutting service. We just sold by the sheet."

It became increasingly clear that Young's customers liked the cutting service, though, and Vince began to research the machines available. He knew that a vertical panel saw was the obvious tool for the job, but most of the machines on the market were either too flimsy or too expensive.
