Released 27th October 2010

The need to move from imperial to metric measurement triggered international freight specialist Kingscote Rojay to look for a replacement for its outdated table saw, but the Koolkut vertical panel saw selected to replace it proved beneficial in many other ways as well.

Kingscote Rojay handles the worldwide shipping of goods for a broad spectrum of clients, including businesses, non-commercial organisations and individuals. The company's Aldershot manufacturing facility handles the production of bespoke packing cases and pallets, some for use by Kingscote Rojay and some for sale.

The slow and inaccurate table saw
The construction process involves the cutting of significant quantities of OSB and plywood. In the past, this was done on a table saw. As well as being fitted with imperial scales (Kingscote Rojay's now uses metric measurements across the board) this suffered from all the traditional shortcomings of such machines.
