In 2004, PPA Limited, leaders in non-metallic component manufacture, installed a Sagetech KoolKut KK21S vertical panel saw at the company's Deeside, North Wales, manufacturing facility. The new machine replaced the company's existing table saw.

PPA supplies the aerospace industry with moulded components, such as interior trim panels, radar housings and cabin and cockpit windows. The company also manufactures replacement windows for caravans, and various components for boats.

"Much of our work involves cutting large acrylic and polycarbonate sheets," said Adrian Morris, Finance Director at PPA. "Up to about a year ago we were doing this on a table saw."
