Sagetech's KoolKut range uses hardened linear shafts, ground to an accuracy of five microns per metre, and linear bearings with more effective dust seals than on any other panel saw available. Industry-leading precision engineering and a solid steel frame giving rigidity and longevity has enabled users to achieve run outs of just 0.1mm per metre of cut.

Installed in March 2004, J & B Scenery's KoolKut KK16 is used for a range of tasks, but principally for cutting ply and MDF – the company builds scenery for TV and film production companies.

"As well as releasing valuable space, the KoolKut has provided much improved cutting accuracy, only requires a single operator irrespective of sheet size, and has reduced time spent cutting sheets quite dramatically," said James.
