When Dumbarton-based J & B Scenery began looking for a replacement for their table saw in early 2004, space and cutting accuracy considerations quickly made it clear that a vertical panel saw would be the way to go. Researching the market showed that Sagetech's KoolKut range offered a higher specification at significantly lower prices than any of the alternatives.

James Baxter, Proprietor of J & B Scenery, explained, "A table saw requires significantly more space than a vertical panel saw as you have to allow room on both sides for sheet feeding, and of course the accuracy of the cut is limited by the skill of the operators."

Reading the woodworking press, James came across an article on Sagetech's KoolKut range of space-saving vertical panel saws: "Having looked at the detailed specifications on www.sagetech.com I called the company and was very pleasantly surprised by the pricing."
