Restoring historical artefacts requires state-of-the-art tools. Hampshire Museum Service, facing a sheet materials cutting challenge, found their ideal solution in a Koolkut KK12 vertical panel saw from Hampshire-based Sagetech Industries.

The Museum Service supports some 20 sites across the county, including museums, a Roman villa, a windmill and various galleries. Mark Holloway, Senior Conservator, Social History, and his colleagues are responsible for the restoration of historical artefacts and the creation of interactive and static display installations and signage for these sites.

The Service also handles the long-term storage of restored and unrestored artefacts and, from time to time, undertakes work for museums and similar establishments outside Hampshire. It is, as Mark noted, "A continuous, bespoke building programme."
