Time to streamline
As the business grew, Paul knew he would need to invest in appropriate tools to streamline his process. "Creative flair and great woodworking skills are the essentials for designing and building great furniture, but even with the ideas and skills, the right tools make a huge difference," he observed.

Until a couple of years ago, the company was using a table saw to cut MDF sheets to size, and a hand-held jig saw for curves and other intricate shapes. "It was unwieldy, slow and inaccurate," Paul remembered. "Each sheet had to be marked up before it could be cut. Manhandling eight-by-four sheets onto the table saw was no joke, and accurate cutting was a challenge, to say the least." The whole process was slow, awkward and error prone.
