When Yorkshire-based Bedford Industrial Equipment began looking for a wall saw to speed up and clean up their panel cutting operations, they knew that a lightweight machine would not be up to the task. Sagetech's robust and powerful Series 2 Koolkut KK216 was exactly what they were looking for.

Bedfords is a substantial engineering operation, with 25,000 square feet of manufacturing space and some of the latest CAD-CAM and CNC technology. Primarily sheet metal fabricators, Bedfords also uses large quantities of MDF and plywood, in the main for workbenches, desk tops and shelves.

For many years, the company had cut sheet materials using a hand-held circular saw and trestles. As Matthew Blackall, Project Design Manager, explained, by the early 2000s, it was evident that the days were numbered for this approach.
